This weekend members of the St. Mary’s choir sang at the 2024 American Federation Pueri Cantores Choir Festival at the National Basilica in Washington DC. We were 1 of 17 schools from 5 different states who came together to form a choir of over 500 young singers. The students spent the whole day working hard and practicing music for a Mass held in the shrine and the result was beautiful! Congratulations to our singers for putting in a lot of hard work and representing our school well on a big stage! A HUGE thank you to Mr. Fewx for coordinating this amazing opportunity for our students! #adwcommunity

Congratulations

Third graders used the Bottle Biography project to learn cross curricular. They used a variety of community resources to identify leaders. They then read biographies, took notes on their reading and participated in the writing process. Students delivered a research report to the St. Mary of the Assumption School community and modeled their research through a creative bottle decorated to look like the individual they chose to research.
